Performing as vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist, danieljmorrow is a British singer/songwriter residing in Brooklyn, NY since 2002.

Daniel initially came to Brooklyn to follow up The RCA about their interest in his first band co-star. with Gavin Dickson of Cargo Heart on guitar and Joe Swanson on bass and synth. The band recorded 3 EP’s and performed a reunion show in London in 2024

Daniel fell in love with Brooklyn, formed a new band and began performing regularly throughout the city.

Forever oscillating between up-tempo indie rock and introspective singer/songwriter, he eventually settled on a dual approach using danieljmorrow for his solo work and The Morrow for band work.

Initially working with drummer Kevin Kahawai of Dead Leaf Echo, The Morrow recorded an EP in Los Angeles.

From March 2010 to March 2020! the line up settled on a collaboration with Brooklyn based musicians Alex Sherba, Jonathan Vergara and Gabby Ess. The band saw the release of 2 EP’s and a feature length album. The music hinted heavily at 90 ’s influenced indie rock but the added textures of harmonies and a fierce, angular guitar sound gave the band a unique feel.

Meanwhile, Daniel’s debut solo album, "Underneath" was released in 2018 and was described as “emotive songwriting….in a “newly discovered dark pop genre”. On this album are multiple collaborations, including Carl Rohumaa of Somerset Road Studios in London, Kevin Kahawai of Dead Leaf Echo, Mike Kutchman at LooktoListen.com, Rebecca Turner, Steven Williams, Gavin Dickson of Cargo Heart, Alex Sherba, and Gabby Ess.

With an enormous back catalog of unreleased songs, Daniel began finding some music licensing placements and, after a pandemic hiatus, he was accepted onto a 3 month artist residency in Memphis, TN to write an array of new material, ranging from dark, introspective indie folk to all out indie rock.Like many, the pandemic was highly influential to his creativity and for the first time, Daniel began exploring themes of social, political and environmental justice.

In Memphis, he was also fortunate to collaborate with engineer/mixer Calvin Lauber (boygenius/Paramore//Julien Baker) and drummer Shawn Zorn (Dashboard Confessional), adding a highly polished finish to what had traditionally been a  lo-fi sound.

In late 2024, Daniel formed a new band to rehearse new material and shows are being booked for 2025 in New York
